Arken Limit Monitor · Browser extension
Privacy Policy
For the Arken Limit Monitor extension on Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi).
Last updated: 26 August 2026 · applies from v2.4.2
Summary: Arken Limit Monitor collects nothing. It has no server, no analytics and no telemetry. Everything it does happens inside your own browser, on claude.ai, and nothing ever leaves your device.

1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the Arken Limit Monitor browser extension, published by ArkenApps on the Chrome Web Store and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.
It does not cover the arkenapps.com website, which has its own site privacy policy.
2. Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal information, usage information, or any other data with ArkenApps or with any third party.
Specifically, the extension does not collect any of the categories the Chrome Web Store asks about:
- Personally identifiable information — not collected
- Health information — not collected
- Financial and payment information — not collected
- Authentication information — not collected
- Personal communications — not collected
- Location — not collected
- Web history — not collected
- User activity — not collected
- Website content — not collected
3. What the extension actually does
The extension runs only on claude.ai. From within that page, it asks claude.ai for your own usage figures — the same numbers Claude’s own settings page displays to you — and renders them in an on-page widget.
Because these requests are made from inside the page you are already viewing, your browser attaches your existing claude.ai session automatically, exactly as it does for the page itself. This means:
- The extension never asks for a username, password or API key.
- The extension never reads, parses, stores or copies your cookies or authentication tokens.
- The extension cannot see any other user’s data — only what your own signed-in session can already see.
- The response is processed on your device and displayed. It is not logged, uploaded or retained anywhere.
4. What is stored on your device
The extension uses your browser’s local extension storage to remember your own preferences:
- Refresh interval
- Alert threshold
- Widget position and collapsed/expanded state
- Per-model row names you have set
- Which credit endpoint responded on your account, so it does not have to check repeatedly
This data stays on your machine. It is never transmitted. Uninstalling the extension removes it.
5. Permissions and why they are needed
- storage — to save the preferences listed above locally.
- notifications — to show a local desktop notification when your usage crosses a threshold you chose. Notifications are generated in your browser; no push service is involved.
- Host access to https://claude.ai/* — the widget can only read your usage from the site it is displayed on. No other website is accessed by this extension.
6. Third parties
The extension contains no third-party code, no analytics SDK, no advertising and no tracking pixels. All JavaScript and CSS is bundled in the package; nothing is loaded from a CDN or any remote source at runtime.
The widget contains links to our GitHub repository and to a voluntary donation page. These are ordinary links — nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to click them, at which point the destination site’s own privacy policy applies.
7. Children
The extension is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Because the extension collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a reduction in your privacy.
9. Contact
Questions, concerns or reports can be raised as an issue on the public repository: github.com/arkenapps/ArkenLimitMonitor/issues. For anything else, use the ArkenApps contact page.
