Refund policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
This Refund Policy applies to digital software licences, downloadable products, and related digital services supplied under the ArkenApps name. It should be read together with the applicable product page, Software Licence Agreement, and Terms of Use.
1. Digital products and finality of purchase
ArkenApps products are supplied electronically. A purchaser may receive immediate access to a download, licence key, activation entitlement, account-based entitlement, or other digital benefit. Because digital products cannot ordinarily be returned in the same manner as physical goods, purchases are generally final once delivery, download, activation, or material access has occurred, except where this Policy or mandatory law provides otherwise.
Nothing in this Policy excludes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
2. When a refund may be considered
A refund request will be considered on its facts. Circumstances that may justify a full or partial refund include:
- a duplicate charge for the same order;
- payment being taken but the purchased product or licence entitlement not being delivered within a reasonable period;
- a material defect that prevents the software from performing substantially as expressly described for the purchaser's supported environment, after the purchaser has reasonably cooperated with troubleshooting and ArkenApps has been unable to provide a reasonable remedy;
- an incorrect product or licence being supplied due to an error attributable to ArkenApps or its payment provider; or
- a refund being required by applicable law or directed by the Merchant of Record or payment provider under its governing terms.
3. Circumstances that ordinarily do not qualify
Subject to mandatory law, a refund will not ordinarily be provided merely because:
- the purchaser changes their mind after delivery, download, installation, activation, or substantial use;
- the purchaser no longer needs the software or purchased it for a project that was cancelled;
- the purchaser failed to review published system requirements, supported operating systems, product description, limitations, or available Free Edition before purchasing;
- the software is incompatible with unsupported hardware, operating systems, security policies, third-party applications, or customer-controlled environments not represented as supported;
- the purchaser expected a feature, workflow, integration, output, or performance characteristic that was not represented on the applicable product page or in a written quotation;
- the licence has been shared, resold, transferred, tampered with, used in breach of the licence terms, or subjected to attempted circumvention of activation controls; or
- a problem results from malware, damaged files, unsupported modifications, insufficient permissions, local security software, customer data, device failure, or another circumstance outside ArkenApps' reasonable control.
4. Troubleshooting before refund
For a technical issue, the purchaser should first contact support@arkenapps.com with the order number, product name and version, operating system, a concise description of the problem, and any relevant error message. The purchaser should not send confidential production data unless specifically requested and safe to share.
ArkenApps may offer a corrected installer, configuration guidance, licence reset, replacement download, bug fix, workaround, or other reasonable remedy before determining whether a refund is appropriate.
5. Licence deactivation after refund
Where a refund is issued for licensed software, the associated licence, activation entitlement, update entitlement, or download access may be revoked or deactivated. The customer must stop using the refunded paid edition and remove copies where continued use would no longer be licensed.
6. Purchases processed by Lemon Squeezy
Where Lemon Squeezy processes the transaction, Lemon Squeezy acts as Merchant of Record for that sale. The payment, tax invoice or receipt, chargeback handling, and refund processing may therefore be administered by Lemon Squeezy under its buyer and seller terms. ArkenApps may approve or recommend a refund, but Lemon Squeezy may also exercise rights available to it as Merchant of Record, including where it considers a refund appropriate to address payment risk, fraud, errors, chargebacks, or legal obligations.
7. Time and method of refund
An approved refund is normally returned through the original payment method. Posting times are controlled by the payment provider and the purchaser's bank or card issuer. Currency conversion differences, bank fees, or exchange-rate movements may not be recoverable from ArkenApps unless required by law.
8. How to request a refund
Send the request to support@arkenapps.com and include the order number, purchaser email address, product name, reason for the request, and enough information for us to assess the matter. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive credentials.
